The Characteristics of each of the family members :

Parvana’s Mother :

She is a writer, always took Norria's side, short tempered, and always cleaning something in the house with Nooria.

Parvana’s Father :

Reads peoples letter and translates them for his job, very humorous, caring about his family and their education, and studied in England.

Nooria:

she was close to her older brother Hossian , always teased Parvana, and is close to her mother.

Ali :

A toddler.

Maryam :

A 5 years old girl .



2. Why did Parvana’s father specifically ask her to take care of the rest of the family? Use evidence from the text to support your answer.

When Parvana's father was being taken by the soldiers, he asked Parvana to take care of the family because she knew how the shop of her father worked, what he did, has been outside with him while Nooria and her mother had always stayed in their house and is a independent girl. Like, when Nooria keeps teasing her, Parvana always replies something back.



3. How will Parvana’s family deal with the loss of her father? Explain your thinking.

I think Parvan's family might struggle a little but with Parvana, they will work through it because Parvana is the only person in her family that goes to get water from the outside and has been to work with her dad. So, that separates her from her family, who has never gone outside for about a year.
